Just for clarification, this post is not to go against Kane saying that the backrooms doesn’t copy people’s memories, it is simply a post I made because there are many connections to it in the film

I was talking with a family member the other day. I try so hard to stay in the past, remembering the same childhood memories over and over, that now, I don’t remember the moments themselves, but how I’ve told the story. Ive been playing this game of telephone with myself for so long that I don’t actually remember anything from my childhood, I’m totally detached from the place I was so desperate to stay in.

I never understood why Kane added this in, Clarke says "it's everything that ever was" and how it looks like the backrooms is remembering but forgetting but it doesn't look anything like that. If it forgets small details why is everything not smooth?, how did it remember every brick from the therapists house if it supposedly forgets?
