the new lost girl text mentions stuff about memories, maybe ralsei (and maybe even the knight) might be memory darkners. instead of being manifestations of an object, they're manifestations of a certain memory or event. ralsei may be a memory linked to Asriel 👀👀

what if ralsei is like, the opposite of a titan? titans are the fear of the dark. what if ralsei is the comfort of the dark? and the reason why he looks so similar to asriel is because Kris and Susie were the first ones to encounter him (as far as we know). so, ralsei's form took shaped based on asriel, (for Kris.) and toriel, (for Susie, judging by how she talked about toriel finding her in the graveyard when she first got to Hometown. bit of a stretch but possible.)

I've seen the theory that Ralsei is Kris's shadow since shadows usually go with light since without light, there's no shadow yk, especially when I think that Ralsei is made out of pure darkness (i think that was mentionned in chap 2, when Lancer turned into a statue) so it has to be something like that to me-

another weird thing about Ralsei is that in chapter 5 there are a lot of moments when he gives away the fact he knows Deltarune is a video game by saying things about the menu that Susie doesn't understand

my headcanon is that ralsei is the "ghost" of asriel. reason being that asriel is so important to kris that a darkner was made in his absence.

I think he's the same darkner appearing from multiple objects, he's asriel's fluff in each place and his presence near Kris allowed him to learn the prophecy

i think ralsei could be kris's headband from when they were younger, or a photo of asriel. but again idk how that would correlate to the dark world since the fountains created have resembling memorabilia from the area so idk!

i think he is the secret third thing, just a PURE darkner!!! like, he has no light world form he is made from pure darkness because his original dark world is made from pure darkness, so he would be made by it, correct? i honestly don’t think there’s any other thing he could be!
