Buddhist here. Buddhism doesn't deal with Jesus in anyway. it acknowledges higher level beings, but you dont need any of them to for your own salvation / escape the simulation loop.

No not every religion has to deal with Jesus. There’s no need for salvation. You’re talking about buddhism as one but it’s sects are important and very different.

Jesus isn’t recognized as anything in Buddhism in any scripture. there is no canonical Buddhist teaching identifying Jesus as a Buddha, bodhisattva, prophet, or anything else.

Jesus encountered Buddhism and adopted Buddhism especially the Mahayana path, not the other way round. Mahayana's boddhisattva path offers rebirth to heavenly realms and some to buddhas pureland. This is deemed similar to salvation in Jesus's teaching and like many great boddisattvas who salvage people to heavens, Jesus did the same. its not uniquely Christian, its exactly Boddhisattva path that is very familiar with Mahayana Buddhists.

There are two types of Buddhism, Theravada and Mahayana. I'm a Theravada Budddhist and let me tell you Jesus is not mentioned in our religion. Lord Buddha existed 500 years before Jesus. In Buddhism the simple reason theres no single creator or god is because we believe things came to life from small organisms growing and these organism developing consciousness and later greed and desire to live. This thought of greed and desire of a simple micro organism is what evolved today into humans with wider range of emotions. In Buddhism we believe Nirvana is the only path to being free from this Samsara. Sicknesses, Old age and Death are pains of living. And this cycle continues since we reborn based on our good and bad karma. Nirvana is our way out, ceasing to reborn and your soul basically vanishing from world. To achieve that, one need to have strong mentality and merits. So Buddhists engage in alot of Meritorious deeds and also practice Meditation. Unlike in other religions where Meditation is mostly practiced to focus on Breathing (Anapanasathi), we have more kinds, such as focusing on well wishing people, focusing on Buddhas qualities, focusing on Dhamma and also Sangha (monks). You believe in a savior coming to save you and wash away your sins. We believe all actions have consequences. And I don't want anyone arguing with me over rebirth here, if you want proof of Rebirth, search up Ian Stevensons researches. He himself has shown proof of Rebirth.
