Having lived in Beijing for nine years and worked near the China World Trade Center, I can tell you definitively that the China Zun building is less than 3 kilometers in a straight line from Zhongnanhai. Furthermore, before the drone restriction policy was introduced in Beijing, there was already a no-fly zone for small aircraft within the Fourth Ring Road. Therefore, if the CCP claims it's a malfunction, they are absolutely lying.
