I loved these designs and this show. I've got a personal head cannon that the reason Megatron brands the seekers wings rather than chest plating is a claim of ownership, as the wings are more sacred to them, so it's his way of holding power and control over them as there's so many and if they turned against him it would be devestating. therefore he places his mark on their wings reminding them of who they belong to.
