I'm 44 full grown adult. and I do things as a full-grown adult that I would have done as a child. because I never healed that trauma. so sometimes I let my inner child out. I color, I watch kids movies, I play, I do things because I didn't get to as a child. but that is not every day and that is not all the time. it's finding those moments that you can give yourself and I agree with you

My shitty childhood came into my face when i got kids of my own. That's when i realise i wasn't wanted or loved.

I think most young people struggle with the things that happened or didn't happen when they were children until u have children of your own and realise no one can do it perfectly most parents r doing the best with what they where dealt

very interesting viewpoint. let me tell you: healing makes you angry, because you finally realise how many things went wrong, how much you've been deprived of or had to endure for no fault of your own.... it takes time but acceptance will come. be kind to yourself, be patient with yourself. Peace will come to you too. The anger is your emotion that tries to protect you and tell you were harm has been done, don't deny it, sit with it.
the fact that you are thinking about this and working through it, going through all those feelings and pain, is one of your greatest accomplishments. because a lot of people never become aware, instead they stay forever stuck with avoidance and coping mechanisms. Be grateful your eyes have been opened.

you are usually right but I don't completely agree with this. the trick to having good adolthood is letting your inner child out once in a while. buy ice cream you like becouse you can. adolthood isn't the end of childhood it is it's exstantion. you may never get care free version you were supposed to but you are now adult to your inner child. make shure to nurture it and let it grow with you. you can buy ice cream go to the park just becouse you can still get excided over little things in life. it's okay to morn what has been lost but there is a lot to accept and change as well.

It’s giving Anakin Skywalker, but baby doll, be the kid, being an adult means you can do the things you loved as a kid and have the agency to decide for yourself. You don’t have to become someone else to be considered adult.

I think, I'm going to turn this into an audio file and then into my alarm, to remind me. I needed this. I knew what was coming as soon as you opened your mouth, I knew because , you always do this. You always reach into the deepest darkest depths of my soul that nobody knows and, you touch it, and every little time that happens I can feel a little hope, a little light, come back. It just makes sense. Thankyou.
