@summer.mccurry: A moment more special than I can put into words. 🤍 We longed to bring Everett here for 3 summers. The first we were pregnant with him, the next he was stuck in the hospital with him, and the next he was in heaven. Last year found out we were pregnant with Eloise just weeks before we even knew who she was. Not knowing if she would be fully healthy or not, or what the future would hold with her. And after waiting so long I really didn’t know if we would get to bring her here or not either. But this year. 😭 This year we’ve seen the Lord’s redemption story for our family. It’s hard to explain the feeling unless you’ve lived it. It’s so healing to have our baby here with all the cousins too, when it’s something we’ve longed for for so long. This beach has held so much of our grief. Today, it holds our joy and I’m overwhelmed! Overwhelmed with gratitude. Not because the grief is gone, it never will be. But because somehow God has been so faithful through every single season. We carry both and we always will. I just want to encourage. If you’re in the middle of the waiting season, I know how long and lonely it can feel. Keep holding on. The Lord isn’t finished yet. He sees every tear, prayer, and every longing of your heart. His timing has looked so different than I ever imagined, but He’s been faithful through every single season.
