What’s crazy is that every year several new chemical plants, which use much more water and electricity, are being built yet nobody says one word. Now that the data center industry is growing, which has always been around, everyone wants to complain as if any of this hadn’t been going on for years through other types of facilities.

That’s why I actually like Xcel Energy because they have stated that they won’t allow data centers unless the company that is trying to put these data centers in pays for the increased demand

Yup I live south Austin and 3 massive sites within 10 miles are being made. One site will have 9 data centers and I know we are gunna get stuck with the bill

EASIEST project these Data centers can do is rent the parking lots, build solar carports for businesses and malls and would cut all the costs by at least 30%.
