Now, there are MANY people who keep saying "but Steven Universe wasn't canceled" when I've already PROVEN WITH TEXT FROM THE SECOND ARTBOOK THAT IT WAS CANCELED, just scroll through the comments, it's not difficult, I guarantee! Like, stop making the same comment over and over again, my god! Another thing, some of y'all saying that the wedding wasn't the reason why the show was canceled, but again, I SHOWED A LOT OF PHOTOS FROM THE ARTBOOK CONFIRMING THAT IT WAS, INDEED, BECAUSE OF THE WEDDING. Again, it's not hard to scroll through the comments, I promise!!! Many people are saying that Cartoon Network only canceled it out of fear of other homophobic countries blah blah blah and that's why they aren't homophobic. First, cartoon was against Ruby and Sapphire's relationship from the beginning and this is confirmed in the artbook (which, by the way, I ALSO SHOWED PHOTOS OF)! But like, being afraid to show a queer relationship or scene is being homophobic, period. Simple as that! If you're a true ally, you're not afraid of representation. I know that last year Cartoon Network was responding to homophobic comments on their Pride posts on Instagram, but it remains a fact that they're afraid to show a completely queer scene on TV. Yes, they do show queer characters, but if that character wants to say they're queer and show how proud they are of it, that's a "no no!" for Cartoon Network! That's why I stand by the point made in the video! Being an ally means NOT being afraid of anything, and Cartoon Network continues to be afraid. When Cartoon Network is no longer afraid to show fully complete scenes and queer characters, without any fear whatsoever, then I'll accept that they've changed. Like, the main reason the series was canceled was literally because Rebecca wanted to fight for the rights of LGBTQIA+ people... (AND FOR THAT I SAY THANK YOU REBECCA) it's like this big company only cares about money... oh yeah. And another thing, for you annoying people who want to argue without knowing anything, just don't argue. I have the artbook and I have the power to argue because I read it and studied what Rebecca and the CrewUniverse said in it. Many of you are literally creating and spreading fake news like "Steven Universe was actually canceled because of COVID" FALSE! There are even people saying that my point is automatically invalidated just because I call Rebecca Sugar "she," when REBECCA HERSELF HAS SAID SHE DOESN'T MIND BEING CALLED "SHE/HER" or "THEY/THEM."
