any BP lovers like me this is for you xxx the new real thing in my eyes (for the date caramel) you’ll need: - 6 medjool dates, pitted - 100ml any milk (keep some handy incase) - pinch of sea salt (for the granola): - 1/2 cup rolled oats - small knob of butter - 3tbsp maple syrup (for the rest): - 1 banana, sliced into rounds - any yogurt you like (i use fage 5%) - a small piece of dark chocolate method: 1. begin by placing the dates in a small bowl and filling with boiling water to make sure they are fully submerged. set to one side. 2. in a frying pan, on a medium heat: melt the butter along with the maple syrup and add in the oats. 3. stir around until the oats are evenly coated and the granola begins to turn golden. 4. after about 5-7 minutes, once the granola is golden brown: gather into one corner of the pan in a neat, compact flat layer. remove the pan from the heat and allow to cool. 5. meanwhile, place the soaked dates into a blender along with the milk and sea salt. blend until silky smooth. 6. depending on the size of your dates, you may need some more milk so add a drop more if needed. 7. once the granola has cooled and hardened, break up into small clusters using a wooden spoon. 8. in a small serving dish if you choice (but deep enough), spoon in the granola to ensure the bottom is evenly covered. 9. then, pour over the date caramel and level with a spoon. 10. carefully place the sliced banana in an even layer on top of the caramel. 11. dollop the yogurt all the way to the top and smooth it out using a spoon and finally a knife to ensure it is perfectly even. 12. grate the top with dark chocolate… 13. pop in the fridge for at least half an hour or serve right away if you’re impatient like me. enjoy🤎 #breakfast #yogurt #yogurtbowl #dessert
