No, do not have a website. Nobody goes to a website. Start with Etsy start with other sites. Do not get a website. It’s not necessary. It will cost you thousands of dollars to Make and two to $400 a month just to maintain even before you even sold the piece of artwork.

Okay but printify carries everything but prints lol, yea you can put your pieces on merch but where you can just put digital art on prints like cardstock etc

Printify is a lot like Redbubble. I used to have a Redbubble account during my aspiring artist era, and while everyone’s experience varies, I found that success heavily depends on the community you build through online content. If you don't have a strong following or enough amassed interest in your work, people simply won't purchase from your website or print-on-demand shops. I had a website during the six and a half years I pursued art, but unfortunately, my results were minimal to none. This insight isn't intended to discourage anyone—which people often assume when you share a less-than-positive experience. I'm simply sharing reality: it is incredibly difficult to get sales without a built-in audience. Plus, if you choose platforms like Etsy, there are listing fees, licenses, taxes, and other hidden business aspects that people rarely mention but are crucial to know.

ok but I heard these places take the cost of the product out of your bank account first when a product is shipped and then somehow reimburses you. is that true with this company, because if you had a popular design, a lot of money could be sucked from the account before reimbursement. maybe I misunderstood

Also if you want to print it and have physical copies libraries have printers and some of the larger ones have whole maker spaces with tools free to use. The one nearest to me has a maker space and something called “the library of things” where you can check out tools and use them at home!

I tried with Printfy and Etsy… Didn’t work out well with Etsy as I had to pay the full amount including shipping before Printify sent the order. I’ll have to look into Big/Cartel ~ 🦋 Thanks for the info
