@lunabee27: Episode 5 of cooking my way through an entire local 1950s cookbook! 📖⏲️ Today’s Recipe… Crumb Cake 🧁 4½ cups flour, 1 cup shortening, 1 pound brown sugar. Cream these together and take out ½ cup to use as crumbs on top of cake. 1 pound raisins stewed, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, 1 teaspoon cloves, 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg. Rub these together with top ingredients, then add 2 cups of sour milk and 1 tablespoon soda. Bake at 350° for 1 hour.
