This was me 2yrs ago! And the thing was, I really wanted to resign cause of stress maybe 2 months prior but I stayed cause I had no backup. Then I was offered severance, (10 yrs in that company so 💰💰💰). Paid off my car, started a small savings accoun then found a new job 2 months later that paid 33% higher than my prev job. Best thing that ever happened to me.

My company went through a mass layoff last year. I volunteered to be laid off, but my application wasn’t approved. Imagine getting rejected from being retrenched. So... I'm still working here.

I was laid off, got 7 weeks severance. They called me back after 3 weeks and rehired me.. So really I just got to rest with extra pay 😂😂😂

I’ve been through 4 retrenchments in my career and every time people would pat me on the back and tell me how sorry they were. meanwhile, I was quietly thinking “I get a payout….and I get rid of the stress? Sounds like a win.” 😁

I got this wish on June 1st. 26 weeks severance pay and loving life, yes, I’m looking for work, but going to enjoy my summer off! 12 years of corporate life at the same company, I was more than done! It’s been so relaxing! 😎

I manifested this real hard and I did! Been unemployed for months but still getting company salary and soon to have severance pay. Been in the company for yeaarrsssss and got ALL the skills I am not trained for so it was a fair exchanged

Ive been waiting for the results then Yeah, I got laid off, but I didn't finish my notice period because I got a new job immediately, actually 2 weeks before the announcement. What a win! 😄

They will keep you until you quit. I ended up finding another job that pays more for the same role, then they counter offered more than the external offer but bigger responsibilities. I declined and put in a week of resignation.
