@fox12oregon: A family is picking up the pieces after a fire engulfed a home, killing three dogs.   Mike Lockard was in Milwaukie visiting his brother when he learned the unthinkable happened Wednesday morning, as his Southeast Portland home that once belonged to his grandparents had caught on fire.   He lost three dogs in the fire, Kona, Pepper, and Maxine. One dog, Rose, survived. He said he buried the others in the yard and refuses to leave their side.   The cause of the fire is under investigation, and Lockard said the blaze has robbed him of so much, but the hardest loss is losing all of the memories his family shared at the home, including losing his wife’s ashes and last photos.
