Holy mischaracterization, pb deeply cares ab her kingdom and worked herself out for their safety, she took every single risk to ensure it. She went through a lot and lived a very long life so there’s some problems with her, which doesn’t excuse her actions but there’s no way in hell you’re telling me she doesn’t care for her people. She stated that so many times, and did so much for the candy citizens. She only seems like a dictator because SHE OWNS AND CREATED THE KINGDOM FROM SCRATCH SO OFC SHES GONNA DICTATE. Shes the only one who knows what’s best for her people and how to cure and handle them. Shes a complexed character y’all don’t understand and I’ll die defending her.

what makes this more interesting to me is that pb had to develop her sense of morality from scratch, trying to make sense of the world around her. but gems are born "programmed" to be a certain way so really the moment pink diamond started questioning the system (realizing that she's being controlled and isolated) she started working against it, craving freedom but pb created a system, craving control
