@drsophiayen: #perimenopause is defined by #irregularperiods Early perimenopause has a change of + or -7 days between cycles Late perimenopause is 60 or more days without a period and other symptoms and being around the right age. #talkmenopause #talkperimenopause #womenshealth @Pandia Health Hormonal Care @Mayapause50
But what if you have an IUD and don’t have periods anymore? Would you then rely on age/symptoms to determine what to do?

I’m currently at a 9 day cycle variability at 50yrs old. Never missed a period (except during pregnancy) sigh, I probably still have a ways to go. Tried Nextstellis (and Yaz & Lo Loestrin lol) but peri symptoms still broke through. Now on traditional HRT

So I just skipped to late I guess. Never had an irregular period. Super regular same time each month since I had my kid at 30 (now 49). To no period for 10 months.

AND - flow matters. One change can be INCREDIBLY heavy flow, spilling out of a tampon in 2 hours or less is BAD and is a permenopause symptom.
