The officer who gave u that ticked unfair because a lot of the times u will pay your insurance and it doesn’t show in the system why? Because a lot of the times the system is not updated right away. So from u show the document that the car is indeed insured then u should’ve not gotten a ticket.

This happened to me. The fault is not with the police but your insurance company ( or persons responsible) to upload your info to the system. And , especially if you just have cover note... only when your insurance certificate is issued is your info qualified to be uploaded. so, when you plate is ran and your info return as un insured. if you have paperwork that showed that are up-to-date then you should not get ticket.

I've seen a lot of complaints re insurance not in system with BCIC. I think the insurance company not updating the system on time or not at all.

If the police run the pate and it is showing that the insurance is expired on their system. And you have the original copy from the insurance or a copy stamp and sign by a justice of the peace to prove that it is the photocopy of the original copy. The police should not give you a ticket. It was stated many time by the hierarchy of the Jamaica Constabulary force.
