I think it’s the worst when when you wanna give someone a chance thinking they’re just uninformed but they end up being virulently racist 🙃

I can't speak for every Black person, but where I'm at, I don't care whether people in anti-Black communities decide to change anymore. That's on them. They've shown us who they are over and over again. I'm done waiting for people to fight anti-Blackness in their own communities. My energy is going toward protecting, supporting, and building with Black people instead. We don't need to beg anyone to see our humanity.

yes! like im aware for alot of people its a learned behavior not intentionally malicious(cause thats how systemic issues work) but when its pointed out what matters is how they handle being told the sentiment is harmful/antiblk imo. personally im not expecting perfection from people cause no one is but I do expect effort in unlearning stuff

I do it by learning more about black history, I inform myself and constantly try and change my perspective which has been changed from the white man. I am constantly trying to speak to more black people, and expand my mind. I watch a lot of documentaries, I talk a lot about racism and how to be anti-racist, I write characters and stories so i do my best to write many black characters and also make black or at least POC centric stories
