@geohussar: United States and its challenge of the China lithium monopoly @Geohussar @Geohussar @Geohussar #learnontiktokcontest #geopolitics #lithium #innovation #renewableenergy
The problem America is going to have with lithium is polluting nearby bodies of water just like China

🤔 hmmm :
The upper hand is definitely not in the US

no they are not. China is having the upper hand recently China supercomputer became the fastest in the world using explicitly Huawei chips and they were so fast the US accused ASML of selling an euv machine to China. but the real truth is China never had any EUV machine from ASML they created their own, made their own chips and now they have the fastest supercomputer in the world. they don't need the US nor Taiwan or ASML or TSMC or NVIDIA

I agree with you, the only problem is the infrastructure. China has the initial upper hand in that aspect. USA has been slow in building refineries for lithium. Also the economy overall relies on oil.

China doesn't cares. They already moved onto Sodium-ion technologies. Chinese manufacturer have already transition into large scale commercial mass production into EV and grids energy storage. while the west are in pilot or research phase

Lithium extraction and refining carry
significant environmental risks. While lithium is vital for reducing long-term global reliance on fossil fuels, the current processes used to mine and purify it create severe local ecological strain. N.I.M.B.Y.

I wonder if Canada has some lithium reserves. Once we build our friendship back that might be some help to us

It’s a dirty dirty (meaning environmental) business refining lithium. 🤨

Great video as usual, could you please make a video on the new battery tech using silver that is being developed by BMW and Samsung And how this could change the demand for lithium and silver?

No mention of solid state or other cutting edge non-lithium battery technologies that might reduce growth in lithium demand.
