The owner came in with a serious coolant leak, with coolant visibly running down the front side of the engine and the expansion tank losing fluid very quickly. • Inspection revealed one of the most common problems on EA888 Gen 1 engines - failure of the cooling system water pump. On these engines, the pump is mounted under the intake manifold, making access difficult and requiring major disassembly. • The video covers the full repair process: diagnosing the coolant leak, removing the intake manifold, accessing the water pump, replacing the failed pump, installing a new dedicated timing belt that drives the pump, and completing final assembly. • Since the intake manifold was already removed, this repair also became a great opportunity to perform an important maintenance procedure required on all modern direct injection petrol engines such as TSI, TFSI, GDI, and EcoBoost. • Because fuel no longer washes the intake valves, carbon deposits gradually build up inside the intake ports and on the valves themselves. Over time, this can reduce performance, increase fuel consumption, cause misfires, unstable engine operation, and accelerate internal engine wear. • For that reason, the intake manifold, intake ports, and intake valves are fully cleaned during this repair. esto es para coches con EGR integrada inyección directa, es imposible anular EGR físicamente. solo por software, la solución a esto es poner un oíl filter canister ya que el problema son las partículas de aceite que vuelven a entrar en el cilindro y se queman haciendo que el inyector no trabaje bien
