the modern world only cares about perceived productivity rather than actual productivity. if it looks good on a graph they dont care. I've seen companies where less work got done but the graphs showed productivity was high despite more jobs getting done before all the red tape got involved.

Yes and there is more people employed and on more money filling out the paperwork than the person doing the thing that’s to be done before the paperwork can be filled in. 👍🏻👍🏻🤣🤣🤣. The world has gone mad.

the point at which we a started suing for everything. Now we need proof of doing the thing so if the thing fails we can prove that we did the thing. It's not just management bulge, it's protection against litigation.
