That was NOT offside… at the time of that line, the ball was still stuck to the attacker’s foot!… it’s not a matter of bad luck, rather a matter of bias.

According to FIFA’s Law 11, a player is only offside if they are closer to the goal line than both the ball and the second-last opponent. In this play, look at the defender at the very top with their hands up; they are the deepest player on the field, which makes them the "second-last opponent". Because that defender is standing deeper than the attacker, the attacker is legally onside, meaning it is physically impossible for them to be offside. When the referee or VAR ignores that deep player and draws a line somewhere else, they are essentially ignoring the actual rule of the game—by the book, this is a goal.

this offsides rule is always ridiculous. they need to change it to be the full body. it's ridiculous to have to zoom in and disallow a goal because a pinky is off sides.

That line doesn’t apply if the ball makes contact with defensive team. The ball ricocheted 2-3 Egyptian players therefore no offside. Offside only applies if offensive team pass to a team mate in an offside position

watched the game last night and was hyped when I saw this last minute goal happen but unfortunately it was the correct call. keeper was ahead of his 2 last defender which in the rules means that the defender further back basically becomes the "keeper" and the 2nd to last defender becomes the last defender

Look at goalkeeper 😳 the goalkeeper is a little bit behind the goal scorer so that defender counts as keeper if there was 2 defenders ahead of goal scorer the goal will stand so only one defender is ahead of the goal scorer so it’s completely offside
