@qantas: While our first Airbus A350-1000ULR begins flight testing over in Toulouse, here is what we're up to back home as our pilots train for a new era in travel. 

This is the first and only A350 simulator here in Australia, where our first cohort of more than 700 pilots across our ULR and LR fleet will be trained to operate the next generation aircraft.

This is exciting for customers but I’d like to know how you’re preparing crew for this, it seems extremely fatiguing, so I’d love to know what you’re doing to mitigate against this. Also will crews be rostered these flights by default of will only crews who want to do them, be doing them? I’m just curious?

curious, when you do the simulation. do you do an actual full 22 hour simulation of the the actual full flight? or just different circumstances that the plane may face? very excited!
