@thesameerproject: On the Day of Ashura, Muslims around the world gathered in prayer, reflection, and remembrance. But in Gaza, many families woke before Fajr not knowing if they would have enough water to perform ablution. Before the sun fully rises, mothers, fathers, and children are already standing in long lines with empty jerry cans, afraid that if they arrived too late, there will be nothing left for the day. Water is needed to drink, to cook, to wash wounds, to care for children, to preserve dignity, and yes - to worship. No Muslim should have to choose between praying with water and saving every drop for their family's survival. Is this how we allow our brothers and sisters to live?
