This is sooo me as well! I'm 54 and not been diagnosed, however I have seen many therapists and Psychiatrists throughout my whole life. One, when I was a teenager, would always ask me why are you afraid, and I would always respond, I don't know because honestly, I didn't know, or how to explain it. I was literally just afraid of everything and I had no idea why. I have felt like hiding my whole life, but I wanted so much to be normal, so I masked. I feel like an imposter. Only now, I'm trying to figure out who I am without the mask.

That’s so interesting cos I was the opposite and never scared. People didn’t understand why a little girl was so brave and not scared of adults and would punish me severely. Looks like you can’t win on either spectrum ❤️❤️
