Hi. Economics professor here. Her definition of capitalism is fine. One need not teach the labor theory of value or do a deep dive into Marxian economic thought to talk about who gets to choose what is produced and why. Economics and political economy are sisters, but not twins.

I don't think of her as a Facebook or YouTube lecturer. I read her "letters from an American " writings she posts daily to fb, Substack and Instagram. She takes today's political goings on and puts them into historical perspective. She's a political historian.
