My public speaking tips -Practice practice practice (Present it 10000 times until you know it in your sleep) -No sugar or caffeine the day of the presentation -Remember “your body and mind are separate entities” (Physical nerves symptoms do not stop your rational brain - you know the presentation) -Workout the night before or morning of the presentation (reduce stress, improve mood) -Go to sleep really early! -Meditate and or breath-work in the morning of the presentation (reduce stress, more oxygen to the brain) -Deep breaths before you go up -Give yourself a hug and stroke up and down arms (reduces cortisol and stress) -Sip water before going up to avoid a dry mouth -Pretend you are an expert in what you’re talking about, you’re in control -Cue cards propped up with buzz words (not holding) -Say 1.2.3…BOOM in your head..then speak -Take pauses when presenting, don’t rush Mindset tips -Regret what you do not what you don’t do -facing something head one cuts the danger in your head by half -we need failure to grow and learn. If it goes wrong learn from it -we learn more from our failures than our successes Public speaking is a skill that can be learnt. And it opens so many opprtunities and doors, i produced two films on food insecurity which I spoke about 8 times in the congress and said some closing words on the last day about what I learnt from my experince of making the films. From public speaking I have now been offered my dream job from someone in the audience! Public speaking was once my biggest fear, and I know in the video I had to read off my phone because I only knew ai was talking 30 minutes before going up, but the confidence I now have shows! All I had to do is implement some of my tips from my list I have created! Try them for yourself and tell me if they help you too! #publicspeakingtips #howtopublicspeak #fearofpublicspeaking #getoveryourfearofpublicspeaking #presentationtips
