my theory is that Homulily is simply the witch of THIS CURRENT iteration of Honura, while Walpurgisnacht is a fusion of ALL of her witch forms in one.

I’m pretty sure she is walpurg. We know that it made of multiple witches but that’s what makes me believe it more because I think with the other magical girls we see it’s enough to make the number of magical girls witches absorbed. Plus with the new movies name I think it’ll end with homura becoming a witch after falling from being homucifer and absorb the other magical girls and then madoka becomes madokami or smth

Another reason I think Homura is Walpurgisnacht is because Walpurgisnacht and Kreihmheld Gretchen (Madokas witch) are so heavily connected. Homuras wish is directly tied to Madoka, so why wouldn't her witch be too?

not to mention the countdown for Walpurgisnacht literally uses Homura's shield, and Walpurgisnacht also has gems on her sleeve similar to how Homura's soul gem is on her hand as well

i don’t think this would be possible if you mean walpurgisnacht is homuras last form, bc she’s already the full essence of evil in the universe as its ruler, just like madoka was the full essence of god in the universe as its ruler.

as much as i love this theory there is just wayy too many plotholes and retcons that i can’t imagine it working in the movie 😓 the new movie doesn’t seem to focus too much on walpurgis as it does madokami/akumura either (yes it is called walpurgis rising but we haven’t seen her apart from being mentioned and a few paintings), i do definitely think they have very strong connecting symbolism though! i personally think this is because walpurgis is homuras biggest enemy that she has never been able to defeat, and walpurgis quite literally haunts homuras narrative

What if walpurgis is a mixture of homura and madoka from the new timeline. She does have a 2 toned halo around her that only madokami and devil homura have, and when madokami shows up in rebellion, she brings one of walpurgisnacht’s elephants with her 🤔

My only note is on slide 7 you had previously established about her “name” not meaning anything and so using her title is the same as using “Walpurgisnacht” so it just flows weird in your thought and I think Kyubey will get to Homura’s witch record room and maybe her shield is there and like Krimhild Fausut with them forming around Homura’s shield containing Gretchen; and in the wraith arc how the one kyubey learned holding even a shard of her shield makes them immune to time freezes I think is the catalyst for them using the shield and witch room to make Walpurgisnacht —- the twist is that Madokami always knew it would happen this way and at its most bleak she will reawaken and reassemble because Walpurgisnacht has to happen so Madokami can happen—- and I think Homura’s Law of Cycles won’t be enough because of Walpurgisnacht being an irregularity on her new law of cycles

also, the OST when Homulilly is revealed is actually called "theatre of a witch." as well as other OST titles which are reminiscent of a play such as "raise the curtain"
