Part 13: ⚠️FLASH WARNING⚠️ Here’s a little lore for Rory Redcape. In this AU, he chooses to side with the Prototype because he hates The Butcher. Poppy wants him to understand that The Butcher is there to help them but after Lily’s accident, he doesn’t believe her. The word about Lily’s death spread across the factory very quickly and Rory only then knew about it from a few chattering critters. He never knew Lily personally or actually got the chance to meet her due to her being isolated but he’s always been fascinated by her existence. She was a long lost sibling that he was dying to see. Coming from the same toy line, he’s read about her and listened to her cardboard cut outs whenever he felt lonely. He would often catch himself talking and having conversations with them too even though she was never actually there. He was aware of the Prototype’s rule to not interact with her but Rory couldn’t help himself anymore. On the day of the tea party, The Prototype was going to have this “special meeting” and maybe after an hour or two had passed, Rory wanted to stop by Sweet Street to finally introduce himself to Lily but realized that he was too late. The only thing he was left to see was a ruined mansion, the fallen cloud, and strands of Lily’s hair. He begged the Prototype about what had happened to her but the only answer he got was that “The Playtime Butcher killed her.” Now the only thing he has left of her is her braids which serves as a memory of Lily or seen as a punishment to those who are weak and fail to stop The Butcher from destroying not only the factory, but also the toys that crosses his path. Rory was manipulated into believing that The Butcher was evil and the one responsible for Lily’s death and wanted to get his revenge because he was done playing the hero role. But what he didn’t know was that the Prototype had actually locked her away deeper in the factory and has been keeping her alive to torture her ever since. I’ve been thinking about giving this AU a new name but I’m not sure what I want it to be. This was originally a redemption arc for Lily and known as “Lily’s AU” from the beginning but ever since I’ve continued the series, the story also focuses more on other characters as well and how they’re going to put an end to the Prototype’s reign. I’ve gotten a suggestion from a good friend to name it “A Repaired Opportunity” which I think is a pretty cool name but what do y’all think? :)) #PoppyPlaytime#Poppy#Chum#RoryRedcape#Edit
