@dmvfoodie: Yes, I traveled over an hour to get here, and yes, I’d do it again for food this good! Located in historic downtown Luray, @porchandvineluray is definitely the best restaurant in the area. Chef Mathew is serving elevated dishes that are vibrant, flavorful, and well-composed. It’s the kind of restaurant that every small town needs! Our favorite dishes were the tender lamb chop served over a Tuscan salad (this was so tender and well-seasoned), the butter-poached scallops in a herbaceous broth, the wood-fire grilled chicken (it was so juicy!), and the glazed pork belly (it had the perfect meat to fat ratio). For dessert you have to get the incredibly moist lemon butter cake topped with a blackberry compote.
