He is written as her "match" in this scene, and the wording of he let her go free not once but twice, after everything she had been through, he doesn't flinch from her flames and she ignited him during that dance, but all this WAS her task during this time so was it real? or good acting? because I felt chemistry here from 2 like minded people with similar upbringings. (my wild theory) I think Eris is going for High King (secretly) and Nesta keeps getting described as a Queen and Empress, "you are wasted in the night court" feels like it has more meaning. just my thoughts 😁

oh this is beautiful. the facial expressions are on point with the internal battle between them. it starts with Eris' smirk of confidence and superiority. it then changes to him locking in as he realizes she is not a simple conquest. by the end you can see the fascination and desire set in. He realizes she is a worthy advisory and no easy conquest. Thus his immediate request to claim her in marriage afterwards. we'll done!

The only issue is they say Nesta’s dancing was mesmerizing. She knew what she was doing. Every angle every move she had been trained to be a weapon and prize on the dance floor. Here she’s just following.
