thanks my brother, my opinion is tgat:despite undergoing many efforts to make reinforced concrete water tight or have high strength by ITSELF, it is always permeable to water, that is why concrete surfaces must be applied with waterproof paints or water proof membranes. even those waterproofs or membranes usually serve not for more than maximum of 10 years. whenever a certain water proof is requested for approval, those incharge of giving approval request for a 10 year guarantee, which is a requirement prescribed by relevant building codes such as ebcs 9 (sanitary installation code)and BATCODA.
