Actually you're incorrect about them being used for pleasure. In their culture young boys are being used for pleasure. Women are considered "breeders used for the next generation". Heard it from the mouth of a veteran friend who fought in the Afghan war. The local police kidnap young boys and literally r🦍 them to death. If they don't die they end up being the new police later or escape into the Taliban.

Had me until the bodily autonomy and Christian bullshit. The Abrahamic religions, including Christianity have been used for thousands of years to justify controlling women. Afghanistan is an extreme example of that. The only real difference is that many Christians cherry-pick the parts of the Bible they like and ignore the parts that are inconvenient. They twist a book full of contradictions to fit whatever political or moral narrative they want. The irony is that the people most likely to leave Christianity are often the ones who actually read the Bible cover to cover and think critically about what it says instead of relying on sanitized sermons. The entire system is built on fear: obey or be punished forever. And let’s stop pretending the god described in that book is some perfect moral being. He’s portrayed as wrathful, jealous, vindictive, sexist, pro-slavery, and genocidal. If a human behaved that way, we’d call them a monster. Calling it “God” doesn’t magically make those actions moral. Also, don’t use women in Afghanistan as a prop to dismiss women fighting for rights here. Yes, what they’re enduring is horrific. That doesn’t mean women elsewhere should stop defending their own rights. Human rights aren’t a competition. Caring about one doesn’t require ignoring the other. So no, I don’t buy the bs you’re spewing. It sounds more like they’re being used as a convenient talking point to undermine bodily autonomy here than out of any genuine concern for their well-being.
