So, I have been with mine 5.5 years. My mother has dementia really bad. She is currently in rehab trying to recover. She stopped eating for a few days. Anyways, my life is harder right now than it has ever been. He knows all about it and surprisingly I am with him right now at his friends house. Lol I was with him Monday too. Same with the weeks before. I read a lot and listened a lot about fearful avoidants, and used all the tips and tricks and somehow we just don’t talk about how we feel, but I know he loves me. Anyways the moral of the story, there is a way to get into a groove with an avoidant. I guess you have to be confident or something idk. Actually, to be truly honest, maybe it is a mix of my tips and tricks and the fact that his mom is deceased. I know he knows how it feels to lose a mom. Anyways, good luck to anyone dealing with an avoidant. lol
