So I FINALLY understood this, the reason is the person that sets the offside line is the 2nd to last defender! Including the goalie! We are so used to seeing the last “defender” opponent used for offside reference without thinking they are using the goalie as well. Since the goalie was in front of two players he became out of the equation as the 3rd last defender. The two red players became the last and 2nd last. The defender everyone says they “deleted” was essentially in the goalie position in every other offside we’ve seen before in soccer.

This is bulshit. They need to change the rule otherwise they’ll need to check 2 lines. One from the goalkeeper and the other one from the defender closer to the far right.

Why isn’t anyone discussing the moment (Milo seconds) when the ball was passed? He was only 5 centimeters of his shoe in offside, and pausing the video for 0.0001 seconds earlier would have shown he wasn’t in an offside position
