first let me say your ex-boyfriend sounds awful and he sucks and in no way am I defending his behavior but I don't think the man cold is always (just) an excuse, I'm a trans man ever since I started medically transitioning my pain tolerance dropped drastically and I DO get sicker and its so weird because I always thought my brother & father was such a cry babies when it came to catching a cold, turns out hormones affect a lot of things you wouldn't think they would.

I am a HUGE hypochondriac and TERRIFIED of getting sick. I avoid my husband when he’s sick by separating the rooms we sleep in, and bringing him meds, drinks and food but keeping a distance. You can do both.

When my last partner got sick, she was always so sweet about not wanting to get me sick, even when I insisted I was OK with taking care of her even if it meant I got sick. And the rare time when I got sick, she would bring me tea and medicine, but stay in the other room, cause she didn’t wanna get sick, but she would still check in every other hour to make sure I was doing alright, and I think that is the sweetest relationship I’ve ever had

I asked My current boyfriend to help put away laundry, he picked up my pile of pants and said “ idk where these go” I said “ open the drawers and you’ll figure it out” I went to put away the rest of the laundry and my pants were in the shirts drawer and my shirts were in my pj/ underwear drawers. There are 3 drawers to my dresser…..

I was hearing you out till you got to the "receiving scraps" part. You told him to get medecine, him assuming there was none left since you asked him to get some, went all the way to the store to buy some. You said you needed dayquil, did you ask him to get dayquil? or did you just ask him to get medecine. I get where you're coming from but calling the effort he put in "scraps" is just being unfair.

In my past relationship it was similar. I struggle with Christmas, so I would take the first week of January off to recover. The ex and his son both just happened to get sick during my time off, so then rather than recover I had to play nurse. I stopped taking that week off, and even no longer in the relationship I haven't taken that week off again.
