I have a problem with the use of 'receive' as a metaphor in this context, because by definition it paints conciseness as elsewhere, but that requires a leap of faith that evidence can't corroborate.

I would say not only receiver but also sender. The way I perceive it personally is that there is a higher collective consciousness from which everything else has emerged in order to be able to experience a fraction of the reality through different physical manifestations of itself so everything carries a part of that consciousness within itself or is a part of it but in different ways and forms and at the same time it can interact with the collective and higher consciousness. It’s like a web or matrix of many interconnected dots. I do believe through that some individuals have a more evolved or developed consciousness and can tap into that other reality in a more impactful way. And I totally agree that there are practices, actions and habits that help you develop a higher consciousness and then there are others who help grow ego that prevents you from perceiving the reality and self, receiving and sending information or data through the higher consciousness. And I am so glad that someone like you has brought up this topic including a very important fact that the reason why we can perceive only a tiny fraction of the reality is because otherwise we wouldn’t be able to function or able to process all that information and therefore I find utterly irrational anybody who is looking into way how to enhance human perception and everybody else who is excitedly waiting for the moment it happens while numbing themselves because they cannot deal even with the basic spectrum of emotions, pain and perception. Every enhanced perception has its downside too and it comes at a cost and it is a skill that not everybody can master because it requires the mind to expand and be able to hold several contradictions

I would interpret consciousness as the interpreter of filtered (limited) information including our own language, causing a reaction in which we operate within. So in a way we are not conscious at all just reactionary.

i have to come back to this. this would explain coincidences. like when you think of someone and the phones rings and it’s that person on the line, or two people are taking and the exact words come out of their mouths. or any number of things we call coincidence could easily be explained if this idea is true. if you think about a collective consciousness would make more sense. for the naysayers at one time doctors would bleed you to let out the bad blood that was making you sick.

No, those comparisons are not accurate. If you are colourblind you see even less of "the spectrum of reality", but that doesn't mean you see less cars on the road or birds in the sky. Those missing electromagnetic frequencies are invisible for us for a reason: They are not important for us! What matters is that matter matter to us. WE give it meaning. Reality on it's own is just dead. It's the matterless consciousness that truly matters. 😉
