However, the rapper said he recorded a political song for a certain presidential candidate and party in 2016 on his own, but kept it to himself for "his own enjoyment"; when that political party contacted him for his services, he turned it down. When asked about the huge financial offers that come from doing campaign songs, the rapper responded, "They say not all money is good money." The rapper added that they have had tough discussions with his team over such offers, but his decision to turn them down aligns with the person he is and the brand he has created over the years.
