Ms Bless (Aunty Leah) :
I’m 54. I’ve been having palpitations for about 4 years. I’ve worn the heart monitor, had stress test and nuclear stress tests. Was told they are PVC’s and are normal. Was given beta blockers didn’t work. I’m wish someone could help bc they are scary. My app watch alarms bc I have high heart rates at rest. The flutters causes me to cough just to feel normal.

Has anyone found anything that helps with racing heart palpitations?? I started experiencing them about 3 months ago. It’s so scary. It causes my heart rate to increase very high and my blood pressure gets to about 180/90. I feel like I’m going to faint. Have been to the ER twice by ambulance. All labs & scans are clear. Wore a holter heart monitor and had racing heart episodes but Dr says nothing was found. I am an elementary school teacher and am so

It’s been happening to me for the last 6 or 7 years … I was told it was anxiety , with all do respect I didn’t have a anxiety until this started happening. I have an appointment with a cardiologist on July 6 for an evaluation. I’m also 47 years old.

I have palpitations and have fainted. All my tests come out normal even the ones that the Cardiologist ordered. I keep hearing from doctors it’s anxiety. It’s so frustrating

Age 55 before or after having a hot flash I will have palpitations. Told my cardiologist and had a 72 hour event monitor and Echo. Has my f/u appt.yesterday and all results were good. Ask the NP could this be related to menopause and she had to think about it like it never crossed her mind. 🤔

I have PVCs I will feel a flutter and a pause with a hard beat, and mine have been more bothersome in the last 8 months. I’ve also had a ton of perimenopause symptoms. My cardiologist said they are benign. My gyno gave me estrogen patches to try and see if it helps. I wish the pVC’s would stop for good as they are very unnerving.

I developed a fast heart beat about 5-6 years ago. I get short of breath when active. I first noticed it when I was mowing the lawn, long distance to walk, going up stairs.

I have PVCs since my 40s. Did the halter monitor and stress test. Always comes back to PVCs that are non-life threatening. I also have high cholesterol. On statins now. Had a calcium screening. Score of 184. Still have PVCs mostly at night and yes, heightened by caffeine and alcohol. Very scary!

no need to know :
mine started when I changed my diet, from a high carb (American) diet to a more healthier Mediterranean diet. Had a Holter monitor and 3 days on the monitor they went away. ended up having less than 1% PVC, 1 three second SVT. turned out it was an electrolyte due to water loss from the change in diet.
