Maybe some people find it boring that I constantly talk about retinoids, but it's because I truly believe and I know, based on science, that they are next level when it comes to skin, specifically closed comedones. You want your routine to be focused around closed comedones if you are prone to getting them - so, a routine without a retinoid or, at the very least, some kind of exfoliating acid just doesn't make sense.
