@reshgala__: Did you know you can save your own onion seeds? 🧅 Onions are biennials, which means that they grow foliage and form bulbs in their first year, and if you don’t harvest them, then they will form gorgeous flowers and produce seeds in their second year. I planted these bunching onions last year in late summer and instead of harvesting them all, left some in the garden over winter. They are so frost and cold tolerant that they survived single digit winter temperatures and 2’ of snow and grew back again this spring. Once the blossoms dried and turned slightly brown, I collected beautiful black seeds, and added them into a cute glass bottle to save/ store them. I’ll be growing my own bunching onions this fall.
