Deff not a gaming laptop, my cheap laptop that has 16gb of ddr5 and a 13th gen I5 runs beamng at a decent 50fps and that’s without a charger or a dedicated gpu🤷♂️

people don't understand the sense of owning a gaming laptop. they are mostly used just like a normal pc BUT you won't take a big ass pc anywhere you want with you, while you can take a gaming laptop with you almost everywhere, they are made that way to be plugged in most of the time to game on them

go to your performance settings and make sure it's all set to performance and not balanced or battery saver. still won't be as good as plugged in but should get close
