to all the people who relate and are struggling: do not listen to people saying “she’s still your mom though” or “she’ll always be your mom.” you can have love for her while being angry for what you went through. she may always be your mom, but you will always be her child and she was supposed to be the person to protect you. you’re allowed to be angry and hurt that she was the one you needed protecting from while still holding love for them. you are not a bad person for doing the work you need to do to heal yourself, whether that means cutting/going no contact, calling her out, going to therapy, none of it makes you the “bad guy”. we can’t go back in time and undo the hurt, but we can do what is best for us and take the steps that are necessary for us in our healing. sending hugs to all of you.🫶🏼

The worst pains life handed me came from my own mother.. it took me many years to heal and accept I’ll forever be motherless. Just know that you are not alone!
