It’ll be easier for you to get an oversupply now then it will be later

I will say it is better to pump now, so you can relieve them but also you are producing more than you probably ever will in the beginning. so I would collect as much as you can .

You have to pump or you will get mastitis

It’s better to pump right now bc you get liquid gold!! And also it’s so easy to get clogged ducts that can lead to mastitis! And girlllll let me tell you, you don’t want that!!!

If you pump now you’ll give yourself an oversupply. But to avoid mastitis and clogged ducts make sure you nurse on demand and pump till you feel relief (so 10-15 min pump) not till you are empty or hand express in the shower. It’s much harder to get an oversupply after your supply has been established versus now.

i started pumping on day 1 and definitely had an oversupply but it evened out after about a week. i wanted to establish my supply in advance because my baby started eating more very quickly so my “oversupply” isn’t as much now anymore since she’s eating more. 9/10 times i exclusively pump but whenever i nurse she’s able to eat way more since i have a higher supply

I just used the Hakka so I didn’t over supply, and don’t worry in a week or so they’ll start to feel less rock hard

I would pump just like 1 to 2 minutes to make yourself comfortable. Being engorged is absolutely not fun.

An oversupply is honestly such a good thing, freeze the milk into milk storage bags and if you lose your supply later or it declines atleast you have some in stock!🫶🏼 my supply was amazingggggg at first and I was an over supplier and then I quickly lost my supply from not eating enough! So just keep that in mind

I know everyone is telling you to pump but tbh if you’re going to mostly be a stay at home mom and he’s going to be with you 90% of the time I never pumped and my body produced exactly what my baby wanted and it was perfect I don’t really plan on pumping much this time around either just enough to have a small stash in my freezer if it was ever needed your biggest friend in my opinion is the milk collector on the opposite side while feeding

I’ve breastfed all my babies, use the haaka on the other side while he’s feeding and you can create a little stash that way

Do you like those milk collector cups? I’m looking into those rather then the pads so I can at least save a few ounces😅
