No. Look closely. Whoever was there before you didn't feed the cable through the right place. The cable should have come from below, but you can see it from above in the video.

So much more complex than my NESII when it stopped working sometime in the mid 90s! I took it apart, cleaned it, put it all back together, and it worked! How people manage to lose screws and stuff is bonkers, you gotta treat these things with care.

That’s such a common issue with this console. Had to have the port replaced on my sons then had to have it cleaned because it would over heat. The guy who worked at the shop where I got it fixed said these consoles are made to lay on their sides not straight up which I found very weird because they seemed to be made to stand up
