Croup is a pediatric condition where there's inflammation of the upper respiratory tract_larynx, trachea and bronchi. The pencil-like projection creates a barking cough, stridor and hoarseness. It gets worse at night.

My middle son has had this SO many times we have this down to a science lol. It peaks at 3-5 days. Steamy showers. Go outside in the cold air and most helpful, one single dose of oral steroid at the first sign of it. He’s grown out of getting it so often!
