The Central Park zoo is AZA accredited. Responsible zoos do SO much for education and conservation. The animals in zoos save thousands of animals in the wild. Think of them as representatives from the wild who live much cushier lives.

My daughter also is skeptical of zoos. We found out zoos that have AZA or WAZA accreditation are held to stricter standards. It’s never a guarantee but it is a good way to feel a little better about it.

Omg yesterday I stumbled across the zoo and I was like okay I’ll go in! (Even tho probably none of us should support zoos) but I had so much fun and I felt like a kid again

I used to feel some way about zoos but then I realized that they help restore so many endangered species and help rehabilitate injured animals.

This is such a good idea for people like me that have anxiety about doing stuff alone. Cause it’s like videoing and narrating your experience would make it seem less stressful

The Bronx Zoo is better. You have to go sometime if you feel like exploring new boroughs!

I’m not sure if you’ve heard of a NYC culture pass. I believe you just have to have a New York ID and you can do so much for free/discounted !!!!
