The Hijrah to Madinah Munawwarah is, first and foremost, a deeply spiritual journey. Its true motivation should be the pursuit of Allah’s pleasure, closeness to Him, and the preservation and strengthening of one’s deen. We should view Hijrah through the lens of the Sunnah rather than through the lens of dunya. When Rasulullah ﷺ and his noble companions undertook Hijrah, it was not for comfort, status, wealth, or worldly opportunity, but as an act of obedience, sacrifice, and devotion to Allah. The value of Hijrah lies not in a change of location, but in the sincerity of intention and the transformation of the heart. If we are to speak about Hijrah, let us do so with humility, sincerity, and an understanding of its sacred purpose. May Allah grant us the ability to follow the path of His beloved Messenger ﷺ with sincerity, wisdom, and ikhlas. Ameen.
