@calmoni.cookingvideos: Soft Pull-Apart Picnic Sandwich Buns 🧺🥪 I’ve been trying to perfect these sandwich buns for months, and I think I finally got them exactly how I wanted. 🥹 They’re unbelievably soft & fluffy. I love going on picnics, and these have officially become my favorite buns to make for sandwiches. INGREDIENTS 240 ml warm milk 240 ml warm water 30 g sugar 10 g dry yeast 1 egg white 60 ml oil 30 g melted butter 700–750 g all-purpose flour (add gradually, you may need a little more depending on your flour) 1½ tsp salt For the topping: 1 egg yolk 1 tbsp milk Sesame seeds Poppy seeds (optional) or any seeds you like INSTRUCTIONS 1️⃣ In a large bowl, combine the milk, water, sugar and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes. 2️⃣ Add the egg white, oil and melted butter, then mix. 3️⃣ Gradually add the flour and salt. 4️⃣ Knead until you have a soft, smooth dough. If the dough feels too sticky to handle, add a little more flour, one tablespoon at a time. 5️⃣ Cover and let the dough rise until doubled in size (about 1 hour). 6️⃣ Divide the dough into equal pieces, shape into balls and let them rest for 10–15 minutes. 7️⃣ Flatten each dough ball into a circle. Lightly brush the surface with oil, fold it as shown in the video, brush with oil again, then make the second fold. The oil between each fold helps create those soft, pull-apart layers. 8️⃣ Place the buns on a baking tray, leaving a little space between each one.Cover and let them rise again for 25–30 minutes. 9️⃣Brush with the egg yolk mixed with milk and sprinkle with sesame seeds, poppy seeds or any seeds you like. 🔟Bake at 190°C (375°F) for 25–30 minutes, or until beautifully golden brown. 1️⃣1️⃣Let them cool slightly, then fill them with your favorite ingredients and enjoy! 🥪 #picnicfood #pullapartsandwiches #picnic
