I know they are an emergency vehicle but they are still subject to the law. I would personally report to police.

That’s not great from the driver is it. You responded incredibly well I’d say. Thankfully you had a clear footway to get onto. They do an amazing job and I appreciate they need to get to the emergency as quickly as possible, but they must do so with due regard for public safety.
